This 12-week transformative program equips aspiring wellness advocates (ages 18-30) with the knowledge, skills, and tools to address mental, physical, emotional, and social wellness needs in their communities, tailored to the unique contexts of African communities.
About the Program
The Wellness Advocacy Training Program is a 12-week interactive course designed to empower young leaders to champion holistic wellness in their communities. Beyond physical health, the program embraces mental, emotional, social, and spiritual well-being, emphasising culturally sensitive approaches specific to African contexts.

Who We’re Looking For
We’re seeking volunteer facilitators who are:
Passionate About Community Health:
Strong knowledge of holistic wellness and an understanding of challenges in African communities.
Skilled Mentors & Facilitators:
Able to lead engaging discussions, mentor participants, and provide actionable feedback.
Culturally Sensitive:
Experienced in working with diverse communities and handling sensitive topics with care and respect.
Committed & Flexible:
Available to guide participants through the 12-week program, with adaptability to meet their needs.
Areas of Expertise
We’re looking for facilitators with expertise in the following areas:
Community Health & Advocacy
Lead discussions on wellness, advocacy, and mobilising communities for collective health.
Digital Advocacy & Social Media
Guide participants in leveraging digital platforms to amplify their advocacy efforts.
Gender & Reproductive Health
Address wellness challenges specific to African women, including reproductive health, maternal wellness, and nutrition.
Indigenous Wellness Practices
Share knowledge of African healing practices and explore the impact of historical systems on modern wellness.
Mental Health Awareness
Teach participants to handle mental health conversations responsibly with tools like active listening and empathy.
Program Design & Sustainability
Help participants design wellness programs, conduct needs assessments, and build sustainable initiatives.
